Batch jobs run in the background to ensure periodic accruals (where applicable), periodic interest calculations, and related ledger journals. It supports interest calculations for multiple types of loans and investments. Given that transactions from this module are directly integrated into the general ledger and control accounts remain in balance, the need for additional ledger reconciliations is eliminated. Standard reports include reports on the master (static) data and transactional (dynamic) data.

The loan and investment module in Ax (Ax TMS) manages the process from the creation of loans/investments (bank account details) to the final payment/withdrawal. During this lifecycle, journals are automated and posted via the posting profiles. Also, during this lifecycle, changes to the loan/investment rules are allowed, including changes in capital portion, interest rates, interest period, and more. At the core of this module is a complete interest calculation engine  ̶   the calculations of which are verified against loan/investment calculations of major financial institutions. Users can run multiple loan/investment products on a single platform.

With reference to gold loans: a repayment of the bullion loan can be made by purchasing bullion for the spot price in concurrence with the sales of completed jewellery, while price exposure between the local currency and the US dollar gold price is automatically hedged. The manufacturing jeweller buys gold or silver at a price ruling that is the same when he sells the completed jewellery, thereby avoiding price risk. 

Apart from the obvious productivity benefits, this module also improves, among others, compliance, formalisation of these (normally manual) functions, and investor and client relations.
