The solution runs on and exploits the feature set of Microsoft Windows.  Dynamics Ax Commerce Gateway, the tool that helps Dynamics Ax share data with other ERP systems, can run using Microsoft Biztalk. Microsoft Dynamics Ax runs on Microsoft SQL Server. Dynamics Ax is fully compatible with Microsoft Windows Server. For example; Dynamics Ax uses the Active Directory to store, share, and retrieve information interesting for more than one client or program. Dynamics Ax integrates closely with Microsoft Office. For example, Microsoft Excel is the viewing component Dynamics Ax uses for pivot tables used to view OLAP cubes through Microsoft Analysis Services. Dynamics Ax interfaces with Microsoft Enterprise Project Management (EPM). Standard interfaces exist between Dynamics Ax Projects and EPM, supporting both way communications.  Microsoft Analysis Services is the engine used by Dynamics Ax for embedding OLAP services in the solution.
